Principal and Academic Director with 14 years of experience in education, having taught and guided over 2,000 students across Primary, Secondary and Junior College levels.
Graduated from Anderson Junior College with 90RP plus a Distinction in H3 Mathematics
Holds a Double Degree in Economics and Finance and was recognised as a Global Impact Scholar. He received admission offers from leading global institutions including the University of Oxford, University College London (UCL), and the London School of Economics (LSE), and was awarded prestigious scholarships such as the NUS Global Merit Scholarship, NTU Nanyang Scholarship, NTU University Scholars Programme, and C& Yang Scholar.
Recognised for his structured and disciplined teaching approach, Mr Rubin Tan places strong emphasis on deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation. His lessons are carefully designed to help students develop clarity of thought, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to apply concepts accurately under exam conditions. This approach has benefited students across a wide range of abilities, from those building foundations to high-performing students aiming for distinctions.
In 2019, Mr Rubin Tan founded Future Achievers Hub, integrating academic rigour with real-world efficiency. Beyond teaching students directly, he has also trained and mentored over 10 teachers in recent years, equipping them with effective instructional frameworks, classroom strategies, and high academic standards. This ensures consistency and quality across his programmes, and reflects his commitment to raising teaching standards beyond his own classroom. Having balanced a double degree alongside building an education business, he understands the academic pressures students face and structures his lessons to be focused, efficient, and results-driven.
